We start everyone with the simple idea that you will one day want to be able to ride and manage a horse all by yourself. Therefore, from the very beginning, you are instructed on the proper way to lead, groom and tack your own horse up with the help of one of our amazing lesson horses. Once in the saddle, we move you through the very basics of correct horsemanship from a simple walk, gaining your balance and confidence. As you build your skills, you will be trotting and then loping as you are ready.

With an extensive background in Western pleasure, trail and hunter under saddle, we are able to get you moving towards fine tuning your horse with whatever you are aiming for.

We love our western, but can also help you with all manner of english riding. Any one who has ever ridden with us will also attest to our love of patterns and pole work. Our lessons are never the boring and mundane 'round and round you go' variety!

We are big believers in having a solid foundation. Therefore we work extensively in lateral and flexion work, encouraging your horse to work with you and not have to be carried by you. After all, if your horse can manage himself, your ride is a lot more enjoyable!

This is something that we truly believe is the basis of all great horsemanship! Respect on the ground and eagerness to be with and learn from you will make any horse a very welcome member to any team. We offer round penning, handling and of course all the fun 'games' that we can do with our horse to help us become a solid team.
